The Tabernacle

The Church and the Synagogue were synonymous for over 300 years after Christ’s resurrection.  Then, God choses people by natural birth and God’s chosen people by faith, those who believed in Jesus Christ -  worshipped, grew and served together as “one body in Christ.”

According to Rom.11:17-20, You and I as non-Jewish believers have been “grafted in to the olive tree,” the branches are Israel, and the common Root that supports us all is – Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

We, as “born again” Believers are the same as the children of Abraham (Gal.3:7).  “For he is a Jew, which is one inwardly;” (Rom.2:29).

Eph.2:12,13,19,22  “We were once Gentiles (one who is not worshipping the one true God).  But when we become Believers, we were restored as children of the covenant promises of God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

We belong to a living, spiritual, “family tree,” to understand our Spiritual Heritage is extremely beneficial in our Christian walk.  I know that “we are saved by grace through faith: not of ourselves, it is the gift of God.”

But let us except the “Full Gospel” which declares…”we are created unto GOOD WORKS, which God has PREVIOUSLY ORDAINED (appointed) that we should walk in them.” Let’s say it another way, “We are saved by grace through faith that we might live according to God’s already revealed Instructions (Gen. – Malachi).”

The New Covenant is not only the giving of the Holy Spirit but also, “God writing His laws in our mind, and writing them in our hearts…” (Jer.31:33; Ezek.36:26; Heb. 8:10).  So, it seems pretty obvious that He gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us to live according to His Instructions, so that we may be Blessed.

“Do we than make void the law through faith:  Certainly not!  On the contrary, we establish it” (Rom.3:31).  It is only when we trust Jesus that we can walk according to the Father’s Instructions.
